Foreign investments in Spain are sustained through various
funding programmes or tax reliefs offered by the local authorities. A
programme launched by the
Spanish authorities is aiming at foreign businessmen who are interested in
company formation in Spain. The programme, called “
Rising Start-up Spain” has the objective to develop the local market and various industries by
investing in start-up companies, which can receive a funding of EUR 10,000. Businessmen interested in receiving more details referring to the
registration procedure can address to
our team of company formation representatives in Spain.
Funding requirements for companies in Spain
Before applying for the
funding received through the
programme, the foreign businessmen should have already established their
companies in Spain, but businesses in the
process of registration are also accepted. Those which were incorporated here should have a financial activity of maximum one year.
At the same time, such companies should meet a set of criteria in order to qualify for the EUR 10,000 funding.
The first requirement stipulates that the
company’s capital must be owned in a proportion of at least 10% by a
foreign shareholder or a person who is not a
Spanish resident;
our team of company formation agents in Spain can offer more details on the
shareholders’ legislation in Spain.
The main benefits of the Spanish funding programme
The foreign
companies registered in Spain will receive assistance for a period of six months, which is considered an incubation period. Besides the funding of EUR 10,000 per
company, the investors will also receive specialized assistance for entrepreneurship matters. However, the investors will receive the sum of money only if the
company’s costs will reach EUR 25,000 in the six months period.
Companies will also be sustained in finding a suitable office in some of the largest cities of Spain, Barcelona and Madrid.
The deadline to submit the applications is set up on 30th of September 2016.
